Information you give us
When you call us or stop by the store in Anderson, you may share your name, phone number, email address and details about what you’re looking for. We use that information only to answer your question, help with your purchase or transfer, and follow up with you about it.
Firearm purchases and FFL transfers require federal paperwork, including ATF Form 4473 and a background check. That paperwork is completed in person, at our store, not through this website. We keep the forms filled out here as federal law requires.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. It’s used to keep the site secure and running.
- Age check. When you confirm you’re 18 or older, we save a small note named cs_age in your browser (a cookie that lasts 30 days, and the same note in your browser’s storage) so we don’t ask again. It contains no personal information.
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and store items people look at. It sets cookies and sends this usage data to Google. You can block it with your browser’s privacy settings or Google’s opt-out add-on.
- Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors scroll and click, so we can tell where pages are confusing. It sets cookies and sends this usage data to Microsoft, and it masks what you type into forms. You can block it with your browser’s privacy settings.
- Recently viewed and For you. When you browse our online store, your browser keeps a short list of the products you looked at and the categories and calibers you browsed, so the store can show you “Recently viewed” and “For you” picks. That list stays in your browser. To show current prices, your browser asks our store for those items, but we don’t keep the list. To remove it, use the Clear button under “For you” or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
- Cart and checkout. The online store uses cookies to keep your cart and checkout working, and to remember which page or post brought you to the store.
- Where online orders come from. When you shop online, the store notes which website or post led you to it (for example a search engine or one of our social media posts) and saves that with your order. It helps us see which pages and posts are useful.
- Facebook posts. When our home page shows recent posts from our Facebook page, the posts and their photos load from Facebook, which may collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy.
Online orders
Our online store is part of this website. When you place an order, we use your name, phone number, email and address to process it, call you when it’s ready to pick up, and keep the records federal law requires for firearm sales. Order notices from the online store go to the store.
- Payments. Online orders are paid at the counter when you pick them up, so this website takes no card numbers. Card payment online is coming soon; when it starts, card payments are processed by Fortis through the Authorize.Net payment gateway.
- Dealer step. For a gun, our checkout’s dealer finder (FFL Checkout, by Garidium) may use the ZIP code you enter to list dealers, and your order records the dealer, which is Circle Star for a gun you pick up here.
Shipping is coming soon.
How we use and share information
We use information to run the store, answer questions, process purchases and transfers, and improve this website. We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed here and our website host, when federal or state law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our customers.
Our podcast platforms and social media pages may collect information under their own policies. When you follow a link to another website, that site’s privacy policy applies.
Age requirement
This website is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Keeping your information safe
This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We limit access to customer information to the people who need it to help you.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do. Our store terms cover orders, pickup and returns. Questions about your information? Call (936) 873-2055 or stop by the store.
